Celluloid Heroes
The year is coming tward an end , and just like every year before we all sit down and think about the past year. the good things that have happened and the bad things, the things that have made us cry and the things that have made us laugh, all the new friends we have made and all the people that have passed onto the next life. we also think about the upcoming year, what will the new year bring us. fame and fortune? a new girlfriend? but this post isnt dedicated to the upcoming year. this post is dedicated to the people that have passed away this past year. the people that have changed our lives. the celluloid heroes. great comics such as johnny carson adn richard pryor, actors such as don adams and bob denver, and writers like hunter s thompson. some of the many people that have changed our lives. some of these people are the people that made us laugh, others have made us think. in the upcoming year more people like these will pass away and more will be born. we must remember these people, for these are the people that shaped the world. weather you admit it or not these are the people that as a child you laughed to. this is a dying generation of people that were raised on classic comedy, great literature and gazing apon the masters of vaudville. everybody has that person that they look up to. the person that died before you even got to know them but had a remarkable influence on your life. fo my it is my great grandfather joshua logan. he was a director and im not quite sure how he did it but he left a mark on me that drives me tward film and movies with an inconceivable force. these are the people that we must remember, for every has a chance to change a life, weather in life or death.
You can see all the stars as you walk down hollywood boulevard,
Some that you recognise, some that you’ve hardly even heard of.
People who worked and suffered and struggled for fame,
Some who succeeded and some who suffered in vain.
Everybody’s a dreamer and everybody’s a star
And everybody’s in show biz, it doesn’t matter who you are.
And those who are successful,
Be always on your guard,
Success walks hand in hand with failure
Along hollywood boulevard.
